New groups looking for members
Climate, Science & Society is looking for some additional members as it restarts in September. Barry Campbell has agreed to take on the challenge of following in the footsteps of Jeff Duckett, who so ably led the group for many years. Barry and a small steering group are currently planning the programme for the autumn, and the group will be meeting twice monthly on the first and third Thursday of the month from 10.30-12.00 in N3. The Creative Writing group held an inaugural meeting during the summer, led by Peter Cox, and will be officially starting on Tuesday 10 September at 11.00am, meeting on Zoom, and monthly from then on. Peter would be pleased to hear from anyone who would like to learn more about the group, and he can be contacted at: coxpetern@gmail.com
Open groups
Don’t forget that Away Days and Further Away Days are ‘open’ groups, meaning that you don’t need to be a member of the group to attend an event. If there is an outing which you would like to go on, you'll need to contact the Group Coordinator organising that outing, together with payment for any transport or entry charges (if required).
